  1. What was Japan's motivation for the attack?
A. Months before the actual attack, the US government had cut off all trades with Japan. Along with many other reasons, Japan feared that their economy would be ruined. American, along with Holland, stopped trading vital resources such as Oil. The attack was vengance. If America stopped trades, we were going to pay. And we did.

2. Did America have any warnings?
A. America didn't need any warnings. The attack was not a suprise. Even if The Roosevelt administration didn't want it the japanese to attack, they would have been able to see it from a mile away. All of the actions made up to the day of the attack would have gotten any country angered. Trade embargos, American fleets in Japanese waters, support given to China.These steps were just a smack in the face to the Japanese Empire. Anyone could see this.

3. What was the impact on America from attack?
A. America was completely devistated at the time of the attack. Many sailors lost their lives. In fact, over 3,500 were killed. Many families were left in grief. People across the nation were eager for war with Japan because of their loses. And the very next day, we delcared war on them. This introduced The US to WWII. America then had lost more lives then ever in US history.

4. Were we the only ones being attacked at the time? Or were we part of a chain of attacks?
A. America was the country outside of the war that was attacked by Japan. One must keep in mind that the attack was in a personal vendetta of America. We were damaging Japans economy so badly, that they had to react.

5. If it weren't for hte attack from the japanese, would America have entered the war?
A. Roosevelt wanted the attack to happen that way America would support a pacific war. Otherwise we would have no business in the war. He wanted a great enough reason to declare war on Japan and the axis of power. And thanks to the attack, FDR had a reason for a pacific war and Americans would support it. So no, the America would never have been introduced WWII.
